I saw it after seeing three big special effects movies in a row (Harry Potter, King Kong, Narnia), and it was great seeing real people really singing and dancing, at least as real as movie musicals get. Lots of fun!

I saw a movie in the theater this weekend called "Stranger Than Fiction", starring Will Farrell, Emma Thompson, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Dustin Hoffman. Will Farrell plays a guy who suddenly starts hearing a narration of his life in his head; he's a lonely guy, and he decides to buy a guitar and learn how to play it. The first song he learns is "Whole Wide World" by Wreckless Eric. Padre Mickey will agree that this is an excellent choice.

Good music, good cast, well written. I recommend it, but you wouldn't lose anything waiting for the DVD.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
