Good News!

I'm happy to announce that I have accepted the call to be Priest-in-Charge of All Saints Episcopal Church and Vicar of Misión Cristo Rey in Watsonville, California; two churches sharing a church and now a priest. Thanks to everyone for your prayers during our search. This is a photo of me at All Saints/Cristo Rey on the last Sunday of Epiphany, assisted by Deacon Rob Sommers, with whom I shall be working.

Mickey and Mona, I am so very happy for you. The congregations at Misión Cristo Rey will be blessed in having you as their vicar, Mickey, as you two lovely people will be blessed by sharing your lives with the congregations in the churches.

Much love and many blessings.

All right then, I deleted my comment by mistake. Here's what I said:

The folks at All Saints will bless and be blessed, too, I'm sure.

Prayers answered. Guess I can't use the word I'm thinking. Will have to wait for a few more weeks to do that. When do you start? They are so blessed as are you and Mona. And I'm so happy for you.

Wow! What excellent news! Although I don't get to check the blogs as often as I'd like, I've been thinking of you. Still remember the fun get together we had in New Jersey.

Blessings to both of you!

Brilliant, El Padre! I hope and pray that you and Mona have a great time at your new place. You two deserve it.

We are praising the Lord for your good news over on the Saint Laika prayer page today.

Excelente! Blessings to you and the lovely Mona on this new adventure in your lives. Little Eddie is excited that his novia Chompy is going to be a California Girl. He's wagging his stubbly-wubbly tail to me singing the Beach Boys tune to him!

I was in S.F. most of the week and away from the computer. This is good news to come home to.

Congratulations as well as prayers for those whom you will be leaving behind.

And, hey, if you ever make it up into southern OR give me a holler . . . there might be a peanut-shaped pancake in your future.
