This morning we distributed the Love Baskets. We had a small gathering at the church around 10:00 am with some singing and praying and a little breakfast. Mrs. Moore gave a little talk about the importance of Christmas and giving, and Mrs. Clara Edwards thanked all the people involved. The chickens were delivered while we were singing, so we were ready to go! I'm proud of our parish because we raised over $1000.00 this year so that we could provide 102 baskets.

Later in the day, el Coro de los Jóvenes rehearsed their part for the cantata next Sunday, and then Padre y Señora Mona (the Lovely Mona to you) served up fruit punch, crunchy-salty things, two kindsa pizza and cookies. Yay! We ruined everybody's dinner! Actually, we told their parents we would be feeding them. Some neighborhood kids who aren't in the choir were looking through the patio window so we had them come in and fed them, too. Padre y Señora Mona loves to feed kids. Little Alvin ate three pieces of pepperoni pizza and let out a good sized belch, which amused everyone, of course and Peter said, "The president has spoken!" which made everyone laugh even harder. A wonderful time was had by all.
