This nacimiento is from Korea and is made of Bamboo. It's been in the family for a while. I don't remember when we got it, except that we were living in Okinawa, so it's probably more than 40 years old. Those angels have shown up over the years
We bought this nacimiento when we visited Panamá in 1998 for our interview with Bishop Hayes. The nacimiento in the background is something the Lovely Mona purchased this year and we'll show it tomorrow night.
Baby Jesus will probably show up tomorrow night, right?

Yes Padre, baby Jesus will show up tomorrow night. And, all the animals will speak at midnight--which I, of course, will miss again, as I will be at church...
what a beautiful set.
Hi Padre, can you hear me? I´m pointed in your direction yelling out glad tidings of good will and good things to come...today we had our pueblo hotdog and Chili Con Carne Party (also included was a huge WASH TUBE full of Cole Slaw done by some heaven Jewish friends from Woodside who are here for three months)...I didn´t think the kids would ever stop arriving with their Moms, Dads, Uncles, Aunts, Grannies, Primos...well, you know, EVERYONE, all sizes/ages! We, the towns Gringos, always our Christmas lunch extravaganza at the home of our most spaciously blessed (backyard wise) friends, the former Nun who is married to a former Felon turned Saint...there was also our fav RC priest in attendence who survived when/where Bishop Romero didn´t.
Fascinating stuff...Jesus birth and Latin America...the beat goes on.
Merry, almost, soon to be, Christmas!
Abrazos
may the babe come tomorrow and each and every day in your life Padre and Mona and the little granchile! Have a blessed Christmas!
The baby Jesus in the form of a tiny penguino? After all, will we know him when he comes? God loves ALL God's creation even when some of us don't recognize that.
Feliz Navidad, Miguelito.
Igualmente, Marshall.
And Merry Christmas to Margaret, Robert, Leonardo Ricardo, Fred, and Shelly, and to everyone else who hangs out here at the Dance Party.
We're heading off for church soon.
