The Lovely Mona and I are back in California after our whirl-wind tour of the East Coast. Well, actually, we were in New Jersey and we visited Philadelphia with Psuedopiskie. We also went to Boston to be with our daughter Anne and her kids. We had a great time, but she doesn't want us to post photos of the lil' darlins' on the innertoobes, so we won't; it's complicated. I didn't have internet access at Anne's, plus, them kids had me exhausted!! But a GOOD kinda exhausted.
I gots lotsa catching up to do, so I'll post a buncha photos later. However, here are a some highlights:
Red Mr. Peanut Bank visited the Liberty Bell with the Lovely Mona (you should have seen the look on the face of the security person when, checking my bag, she came across Red Mr. Peanut Bank! I wish I had the camera at that moment!)
We (the Lovely Mona, Red Mr. Peanut Bank, Gallito Mescalito, Miss Egyptian Hippo of Love, and Padre) attended a wild party of Crazed Episcopalian Bloggers and Other Important Folks. Here are just a few photos of the crazy hi-jinks which ensued.
Table 1
Table 2
Oh yeah, I saw this in Malden, MA. It appears that the Abuelita de Louisiana is into more than file gumbo
Much more tomorrow.

El Padre, I'm so sorry I missed meeting you and the Lovely Mona. I posted a few of WhiteyCat's photos at my blog, and I will probably post more.
It's best not to highlight my establishments around the country, because they're not just for the purposes of dining, if you know what I mean. I'll say no more.
(((((Mickey and Mona))))))
glad you made it back safe, and that I only sort of broke one of your really cool toys...
I am still in mourning having missed you but delighted that you had such a swell time!!
Even if Eileen was popping the eyes out of your cool toys!!
Shreik!
(i keed, i keed!)
Yayyyyyyyyyy, you're back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You do know you're missed, right?
I´m so happy you didn´t doddle over there where they have all those hard Eastern accents and know so much stuff (probably more than they ought)...Lord only knows what you might have picked up if the ¨players¨ had been more exposed to whatever it is they do over there.
All, yes all, the really healthy people know that it is best to stay close to the Greater San Francisco/San Jose area (except of course when seeking out Blueberry Muffins, Scrod, Lobster, Broadway Shows or dodging earthquakes)...that is, if one wants to remain fascinating, top notch and fully equipped to intermingle with Latin cultures where courtesy and flamboyance is a must...best to open up your Golden Gate and let the good times roll!
It was so great meeting the five of you!!
I hope you can come this way again (or that I can manage a trip to Panama)
Sounds like you had a wonderful trip. Wish I coulda been there at the convocation of wild and crazy Espiscopalians. Maybe next time!
