So the Lovely Mona, Señorita Chompita Wiggletail, and yer Padre were on vacation in the beach town of Coronado in Coclé Province a week ago. All I did was take Chompita on walks, swim in the pool, lay in the hammock, and read books, and, of course, cook my meals. The Lovely Mona took Chompita on walks, swam in the pool, laid in the hammock, read books, prepared meals, and visited friends. Chompita went on walks, sat in the gazebo, and ate. All in all, a successful vacation.
The house we were staying at has many fruit trees, and some are not familiar to those of you in the Northern Hemisphere, so I took some photos.
Here is a list of the books I read on vacation:
Slam Nick Hornby
Angela's Ashes Frank McCourt
'Tis Frank McCourt
Unknown Legends of Rock 'n' Roll Richie Unterberger (re-read)
Small Wonder Barbara Kingsolver (started but I lost interest)
Black Friday James Patterson
Dona Flor And Her Two Husbands Jorge Armado
The Lovely Bones Alice Sebold
Cold Mountain Charles Frazier
I also read some stuff I had downloaded from the innertoobs and hadn't had a chance to catch up with. Like I said, all in all, a very successful vacation.
The mangos weren't quite ripe yet.
No bananas yet
A lonely lemon
I have no idea what these are
Guanábana, or soursop
