Yesterday Evening At Parroquia San Cristóbal

Yesterday afternoon the Choir Guild of Parroquia San Cristóbal held a program entitled Mothers Are Beautiful. It was a lovely program, featuring music and fashion. Mr. Percival Thomas, Director of Music and Liturgy, was our M.C. I gave the Invocation and the Benediction, cuz that's my job. Directora Marcella Dickens was the announcer for the Fashion Show. We had music by Profesores Walter Smith, Jr., Alphonso Lewis, Jr. and his wife Emily Myles, and Profesor Leopoldo Magallon and his family. Profesor Magallon played the harp with his right hand and a keyboard with his left hand while his daughter played electric violin and his son played oboe. Lic. Guillermo Johnson and Rupert Neblett sang "That Wonderful Mother of Mine" and the Sr. Choir of St. Christopher's performed "Easter Alleluia." Then we had a tombola (raffle), as always. The Fashion Show featured Contemporary fashions, African fashions, and Moda Panameña. The models were Tisha and Latisha Smith, Alda Allen, Josephine "Pepsi" Smith, Xiomara Francis, Clara Edwards, Thelma Brahwiate, Albertina "Patsy" Pusey, Edna Marshall, and Tania Cole. The Choir also honored Sislin Thomas for her years of service to the Choir Guild. It was a wonderful program, with much warm and friendly feeling, and a lovely way to spend an afternoon.

Padre, the ladies are gorgeous in their beautiful clothes.

I've never heard of one person playing the harp and the keyboard at the same time.

Sounds like y'all had a great time.

Multi-tasking in a musical way! Musicians have been doing it for years!

Loving this post, Padre.

And they're really men? Brilliant! I would never have guessed. Best act I've ever seen.

I See You!
