I write like
Oscar Wilde

I Write Like by Mémoires, Mac journal software. Analyze your writing!

I entered my post on Basil the Great and learned that I write like Oscar Wilde.

And I write like Dan Brown (let the monthly checks flow in) according to your ¨Analyze your writing¨ friends.

I tried four different samples. P.G. Wodehouse, H.P. Lovecraft and Margaret Atwood twice.

Either I should change my nom de plume to M.L. Hubbard or I should get a sex change operation.

wv: amidailm

Used in a sentence: Of course I hated The Phantom Menace, but that Amidailm chick was smokin' hawt!

{Ahem}

Humorless TG Person here: I'd really rather not be your punch line.

I did it 3 times, and got Dan Brown, Robert Foster Wallace and (my fave) William Shakespeare!

Personally, I think this bot is too content-sensitive (e.g., religious writing gets you "Dan Brown"). It's a fun concept, but it needs some tweaking.

I did three separate chapters of my unpublished novel (because large samples are usually better than small ones). One came out Dan Brown. Two came out William Shakespeare. Three came out Isaac Asimov.

Since what I do is write and edit for a living, I'm guessing there is a flaw in the program because I think I'd know if my style veered that widely.

I write like David Foster Wallace.

Los Angeles Times book editor David Ulin called Wallace "one of the most influential and innovative writers of the last 20 years."

I See You!
