Saturday night we attended a birthday party for our Panamanian granddaughter, Eva Victoria (part of nuestro familia extendida). She is one year old now! Her parents held a blow-out at Hotel Tower Suites downtown. There must have been about twenty children there. We had a good time with Eva Victoria and her big sister, Alejandra. There was a young man supervising the games; he dressed funny but he wasn't painted up like a clown, thank God! There were lots of games, including a piñata, and the theme for the birthday bash was that Strawberry Shortcake character. The kids had strawberry punch (way too sweet!),strawberry ice cream and lots of candy and marshmallows and hot dogs; nothing for the Lovely Mona to eat! Yes, these are Miss Bebé's Panamanian cousins.
Here are some photos:

Micky, just caught your comment on Jake's changing world. By voting communist is that why you are working in Cent. America?
Good to hear from you and seeing all the wonderful pictures of your people.

Happy Birthday, Eva Victoria! What a little doll! It looks like a lovely party.
Is this the Dance Party or Cute Overload?
Frickin' adorable, ever' last one of them.
And, they got a visit from the abuelo today!
I've never seen a piñata with feet before.
Sweet photos.
I've never seen a piñata with feet before.
It makes the entire process much more difficult as one must chase the piñata.
