So pensive! Still gorgeous!
Obviously missing her abuelo y abuelita!
What a beautiful child! Parenthood and grandparenthood are serious vocations. Not everyone is "good" at it. We adopted our son when he was 16. He is 18 now and we love him so very much. But we 'missed out' on diapers, waking up at 3:00 a.m. to give a baby bottle, childhood illnesses, etc. And he is going to be off to college soon. Sadly, in places in Eastern Europe one can literally buy a baby for around Leva 3000 (a little over $2,000 USD, plus bribes for various government officials). The government is cracking down on this practice (as they should). But it is a sad reminder that not all children are wanted and cared for. In Bulgaria there isn't a foster care system, so orphaned children go to large orphanages. One of the largest orphanages in the Balkans is located in Bulgaria in Пловдив (Plovdiv). These institutions are tragically underfunded and some are pre-WWII construction and the buildings are in terrible and unsafe shape. A lot of the unwanted or abandoned children are Roma. And they endure such ugly racism. This is a wonderful picture of a beautiful little girl who obviously has good and loving parents and grandparents.
Okay, lets talk dowry.
I figure there is plenty of time for an arranged marriage.
PS: My grandson has access to a three wheeled electric scooter, if that helps at all.
I saw this girlie at Church on Sunday! She's the sweetie!
Thingy word is ballscar...
Is that ball-scar or balls-car?
Enquiring minds want to know!
Fred is sooo funny! I´ll loan him the difference in large format paintings (or my 18kt. Ebel watch).
