Blessing of the Oils at St. Luke's Cathedral

Yesterday was the Blessing of the Oils at la Catedral de San Lucas. The clergy of the Diocese serve as acolytes and readers for the service. I get to swing burning coals, so that's fun. Here are some photos.

Thanks again for posting photos of the cathedral... I only worshipped there two Sundays in 1987 so my memories of it are vague but I alwys enjoy seeing the photos. Interesting to see the plaque for William Crawford Gorgas, given that my grandfather was a Wm Crawford... no relation as far as I know. Blessings on the rest of the Triduum.
