It was really a pretty normal Monday yesterday at the Hogar. Everyone looked very serious as you'll see in the pictures.
I first worked with Maria Isabel, then Estefani, then Enibeth. Maria Isabel made sentences with her vocabulary words. She copies words well, but still has a hard time reading.
This first picture is of Estefani. She was working on addition and subtraction. She’s really pretty good at it. We read a bit afterward. She still struggles with reading.
This is Johana and Maria Isabel coloring.
This is a photo of one of the girls, whose name I don’t know, was making a vase of cardboard and paper. She used almost a cup of glue for it. We had classes at St. Christopher’s a couple of years ago teaching how to make vases and other objects with cardboard. The results were really pretty.
Here’s a close up of the vase.
This last photo is of Enibeth working on her timetables.

Have you tried papier-maché? It's cheaper (less glue expense) and it can be really fun.
Great photos as always. Thanks!
I haven't done papier-maché in ages. I used to love it. This cardboard art is a Panamanian thing.
Hello to you, Lovely Mona! I love these pictures you post. The girls are so lovely, too!
Yes, I know this is a late post, but I have been unable to comment because comments on Blogspot made my old, old, OLD Explorer shut down every time I tried to comment. But now as you can see, I can talk again! I was given the brand new iMac for retiring. They just had to get me out of here! Now they can have the old computer and all the problems entailed therein!
