I'm first to post...good, I'm closer than most of you and I think it's very likely Red Mr. Peanut Bank and Gallito Mescalito will climb on a "Chicken Bus" and head up my way (I promised I wouldn't tell anyone)...afterall, ALL the stuff they are packing is exactly the STUFF that is needed for up here in the campo...I don't want you to tell anyone else (especially Bishops Akinola, Orombi and the dreaded Conehead) but I promised los Chico banditos de Padre Mickey's a weekend at San Lucas Toliman which has one of the most wonderful little quiet hidden hotels (even the lancha publico doesn't stop in SLT anymore) anywhere...also WITH the most outstanding dining room view and foodo (all three meals are "fab" where the boyz are apt to be the only guests....shrieking is allowed, and probably encouraged)...really, speaking of restful getting away from it all places...that would be San Lucas Tolliman...there's also a adorable little old man in "traje" that arms a barracade (think private, yet public, road with a horizontal pole thingie accross it that lifts up with a rope when he yanks it) as you drive into town ($3.00 to get into the town that has no tourist attractions but it's free to leave...the side where he guards the entrance to get in has almost no traffic coming in from a even more rural/dangerous area of the lago...guess he figured I pay to escape the highwaymen (I saw none). BTW, I must remember to have the boz bring back some of the "canned" picante and "ranchero" sauces they sell there in unmarked jars...really good.

Have a dandy and holy weekend all and CONGRATULATIONS to Canada and their new Primado...he's a "welcoming and loving" kinda champ just like the rest of the Primados in our hemisphere (well, almost 100% of them)!

Viva Canada! Viva U.S.A.! Viva Mexico! Viva Central America! Viva Province IX, Viva Brazil!

I'm worried. Where is the Rt. Rev. Bunrab? I hope he's tending to his flock at St. Chompita Wiggletail.

Oh, and I love the lacey tablecloth. My mom has one that she uses on Special Occasions. It's a gajillion years old (as in more than 70).

She also has a colorful tablecloth that was a wedding present to her and Dad -- 64 years ago come July 19th. It still holds vibrant color and would be a Big Thing at Target these days.

Sorry, I'm digressing. Back to my nook.

Sorry, make that 63 years for my parents. They were married in 1944.

I'm so very, very sorry for miscalculating.

Ah, so you enjoy Abuelo Viejo ron, eh? You can weep with me that my two bottles of Flor de Caña broke in my suitcase coming back from El Salvador.

I See You!
