Friday Red Mr. Peanut Bank and Gallito Mescalito Blogging

I think I've mentioned this before, but I started the Friday Red Mr. Peanut Bank and Gallito Mescalito Blogging thang to mock the Friday Cat Blogging, Friday Orchid Blogging, and other Friday INSERT PET HERE Blogging features on all the other blogs. My original idea was simply to take photos of Red Mr. Peanut Bank and Gallito Mescalito in different places, like our front "yard" or the park across the street. Then, for some odd reason, I put a few photos in sequence and added some dialogue and we started attracting attention. The final straw, of course, was making those little mitres. Because I pander to my audience without shame, I try to raise the bar each week with stories and stuff. However, I won't really be able to do so this month. September is the Month of the Bible here in Panama, and the youth of the parish asked to have Bible Study every Friday night during September (do the youth of your parishes ask for Bible studies? These kids are always asking for more Bible studies and more prayer services. What is WITH these kids?!?) So, I probably won't even be getting home until around 9:00 pm and I doubt if I'll be inclined to staging elaborate epics for the camera. I'll see what I can do on Thursdays to set stuff up, but I'm not promising anything. As you can see, we've posted this feature much earlier than usual today.

Today we see some out-takes I've had sitting around. Make your own story!

The Boys encounter Señorita Chompita Wiggletail on her turf

Miss Egyptian Hippo of Love visits the Pyramids of Massive Size (it's just the camera angle which makes it appear as if she is as big as the pyramids o massey size)

Remember during the "strike" when Squeaky Gorilla played Red Mr. Peanut Bank? Well, several other cast members posed as the Main Star of our show.

Here are two shots of Gallito Mescalito wearing the Red Mr. Peanut Bank hat.

Bunrab, the Filthiest Toy in the House as Red Mr. Peanut Bank

Mr. Chompy's Chewed-up Squeaky Kitty Toy as Red Mr. Peanut Bank

This is why we call him Mr. Chompy's Chewed-up Squeaky Kitty Toy and this is what he goes through all week. Believe me, he's squeakin' while Chompy's chewin'!

Here's where The Boys and Miss Egyptian Hippo of Love live during the week.

Another shot, featuring the Mickey Mouse Clock. I love Noon and Midnight because then I can say, "Mickey's hands are in the hostage position!"

Espere! Uno momentito por favor Padre...

Are you actually saying that Bible study will take precedence over...

OK, I will shut up now and be grateful for what I got!

As Catholics, we don't "do" Bible study. Which is both a curse and a blessing.

I however, have my trusty Jerusalem at my side at all times. It is poetry.

What do you guys use? Signed, another ignorant Catholic

I'll adjust...I mean, I've been made to adjust to, well, simply everything...I've been fooled, stooled and refuled...don't worry I'll adjust...it's just like the time that I discovered I was, well, you know, different than the other Mr. Peanut Bloggers...I wasn't what I appeared to be, even to me! Holy Vaca I said in my head (there wasn't a Holy +Vacables yet or I would have moved to Yugoslavia or whatever it was before it isn't)! I'll fine, don't worry about me (even if I'm having a dinner party for lots of folks tomorrow night and could use the giggle while thinking about the Peanut Journals)...ah, gotta go, Violetta wants a ride homo, er, home.

1. boys tell dog that hippo has left for vacation in her homeland.

2. hippo sends postcard from her trip home.

3. Red Mr Peanut Bank has decided that if hippo gets a vacation, so does he, although he accidentally leaves his hat behind. pictures 2,3,4, and 5 have the gang doing imitations of Red Mr Peanut Bank.

4. Chompy's chew toy does such a bad impersonation that the crowd (the dog) decides to demonstrate opinion of how bad the imitation really was.

6. & 7.. After that bad experience the crowd decides it is better to take the hat to Red Mr Peanut Bank. Ms Hippo is back and she joins them on the treck to the top of the bookcase where they hand over the hat and enjoy a month long vacation together.
