Friday Saturday Miss Egyptian Hippo of Love Blogging (with Gallito Mescalito y Mr. Chompy's Chewed-up Squeaky Kitty Toy)

The Song of Reasserting Africa
With Apologies to Burt Bacharach

What the world needs now
Are bishops, more bishops
That's the only thing
We need more than ice cream push-ups
What the world needs now
Are bishops, more bishops,
Not for everyone,
But for the U.S., hon...

Lord, we don't need Millennium Development Goals
There are food baskets, and water, for lazy bums
There are programs and groceries and bleeding hearts
Oh listen Lord, if you wanna know
(and I'm gonna tell you, 'cuz you seem to need direction!)

What the world needs now
Are bishops, more bishops
They're the only thing
that there's just too little of,
What the world needs now
Are bishops, more bishops,
Not for everyone,
But for the U.S., hon...

Lord, we don't need reconciliation
What we need are those buildings and parishes
What we need is to cast out TEC
And those Canadians
'Till the end of time, oh oh oh oh ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh

What the world needs now
Are bishops, more bishops
What the world needs now
Are bishops, more bishops
What the world needs now
Are bishops, more bishops
fade

Una vez mas you capture the moment... that is to say, the lovely Miss Egyptian Hippo of Love and her talented backup singers do.

Is it any wonder I flee this world and write fantasy fiction?

Thx, Padrecito

Miss Egyptian Hippo of Love is taking over here, Padre. She is the Fonzie or the Steve Urkel of the Dance Party.

Red Mr. Peanut Bank seems a nice fellow, and the Gallito will shriek no matter what, but I hope they don't all get jealous. And even if they do, I'm sure she can just start singing "Children, behave..." and they'll all have a laugh and the tension will be diffused.

Ah, the hauntingly beautiful sounds of the Pananmanian Ensemble once again...how I love to listen, to ponder, to become mystified while the melodic truth presents itself at Padre Mickeys Dance Fiesta at The Anglican Center of the Anglican Communion...but, today, there's no time for prancing and I ain't got no style for dancing...only melodies and words that mean what they say can seep into my ole'...the world needs now, what the world needs now is NOT a gaggle of biggoted Christians destroying themselves while trying to pull TEC HOB and thinking world down...scared, greedy and dangerous these busy blokes...what the world DOESN'T need now is more ugliness generated by the Nutwork and racist bigots at the Global South...who would have thought it?

Their finale is near and it's nothing to fear,

What the World Needs Now is a buncha lov'n folks with no axe to grind anyhow!

I dunno, Miss Egyptian Hippo of Love can certainly sing the lead sometimes, but some of us old-timers still prefer Mr. Red Peanut Bank and Gallito Mescalito - just like some people think Barry Gordy made a big mistake, it shoulda been Mary Wilson & The Supremes!

This is little to do with hating gays and a lot to do with whether or not society will slide into moral anarchy. The question is whether we will perpetuate a grand illusion -- that homosexuals will somehow rise above promiscuity and that gay culture is something higher than a meat market (that it's filled with compassion -- unless you're the wrong cut)but the bubbles of illusion all eventually burst. In the meantime, how many hapless people will affirm this identity like moths flying into the flame?

Geez "anonymous" (if that's your REAL name!), you are'nt that dips*** from New York with the sick obsession about homosexual sex acts, are you? I'm keeping an eye on you. Screw up once and you will be bannned.

y Central America September 15th...the bombas were bursting in air, the bands were march'n with flair and I'm so happy to be blessed with being safe and sound anywhere! (No thanks to Akinola, Orombi and the Nutwork greedfilled oppressing thugs and oily +vacables!)

P.S. Yes, there ARE healthy spiritual LGBT people who are full fledged members of The Body of Christ at ALL levels of Churchlife, Anonymous...get a grip you dirty minded fool...LGBT are no different than heterosexuals...some, could do a better job of improving their personal character (like you) than others...it takes self-searching and effort not to be a fear/hate promoting bigot..."with Gods help" you can change.

You know, the other night I thought that it looked like they really were singing and just wrote it off to a little too much la Fiesta de la Independencia and the few obligatory cervezas. OK and some Tequila!

But I've only had some café y té helado today, and they still look like they are really singing!

Yes, there ARE healthy spiritual LGBT people who are full fledged members of The Body of Christ at ALL levels of Churchlife.
Yes indeed there are. Millions of us I believe.

I See You!
