Friday Random Top Ten

Ya pushes "shuffle" and ya takes yer chances. . .

1. I Am The Cosmos Chris Bell
2. Rock Steady Aretha Franklin
and another version of Rock Steady Aretha Franklin

Well, according to the Dance Party Friday Random Top Ten Rules, we stops when we hits a song that won't be topped, which makes today a Top Two! But we get two videos versions of Aretha! I like the second one better, and it's faster! Faster is always better.

I love both songs; Chris Bell was in Big Star, one of my all time favorite bands. How can you hate a line like Every night I tell myself, "I am the Cosmos; I am the wind"? He was a Power Pop King! And, of course, we're simply not going to top the Queen of Soul, so we'll end this Royal Shuffle Thang right here.

Watcha listenin' to? Please post your lists in the comments.

Once again, peer pressure from hanging out with Padre Mickey takes its toll. I just went to iTunes and bought two Big Star tunes because I didn't have any, and all the cool kids listen to Big Star.

WV: orksing

You dont want to hear an orksing. Better just to kill them.

I have been in a music funk and not really listening much to my English iTunes collection, just Joan Baez, the Carpenters, and a Contemporary Christian mix of the Newsboys, 4Him and Phillips, Craig & Dean!

I did find these folks enjoyable; The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain. They have made the big time as they have recently played a full house at Royal Albert Hall.

I Dunno. No George Harrison's "LIVING IN THE
MATERIAL WORLD?"

Forgive me, but I don't think that the GREAT MUSIC
FAIRY is going to leave anything in your Christmas
stocking this year, if you keep up this heresy!!!

Oh, well.

Peace and happiness,
