Neighborhood Graffiti

Our neighborhood of Los Pinos is very quiet today. Since it's Independence (from Colombia) Day, most folks went to the Interiór to their Ancestral Home. I did something I have been meaning to do for a while: take photos of the neighborhood graffiti.
UPDATE: Last night at dinner, the Lovely Mona and Tía Sue told me that I should translate the graffiti as not everyone here reads español.

Search for God and find a treasure
I pass this wall everyday when walking Señorita Chompita Wiggletail, and I find the message inspiring.

This is "approved graffiti." These are admonitions to the young people who use the neighborhood fútbol field.

Courtesy and honesty are habits; practice them

(This one was a little hard for me to translate) No one can deny that amongst the most beautiful in the world are the Pollera, the Tamborito, and the Panama Canal The pollera is a elaborately decorated skirt, the tamborito is a dance, and everyone wrote a report on the Panama Canal in the fourth grade, so I don't have to explain THAT!

Thanks, Padre. The last one was definitely beyond my Spanish skills, but I got the first four.

I could follow it AFTER the translation, not before.

"A man, a plan, a canal: Panama!"

So nice to see graffiti that is edifying...always thought it was an oxymoron.
