I Think We Need A Song

Let's see, the Stock Market tanked, the Supreme Court said we can all run 'round wif guns, Bush and Cheney have yet to be dragged screaming to the Hague, and Madpriest is still away.
I think we need a song.

Hey, is this some kinda Ter'rust Rock? They'se dressed lak Muslims or sumpin'.
And that voice at the end? It's either Domingo Samudio saying "Paul is dead" or sumpin' en Deutsch.

I was going to suggest The Monkees theme song, but this works just as well.

Brilliant use of non dancing go-go girls. Would they be no-go girls?

Long ago, I saw NRBQ at a club in Palo Alto, and I think Padre and the Lovely Mona were there, too. Besides the quartet, that's what the Q stands for, they had a horn section. The guitarist invited one of the horn players up to the mike, saying "We are going to play his favorite song!" and proceeded to play Sink the Bismarck which is very hard to dance to. The folks on the floor were very confused. When it was over, the guitarist said "We're gonna play his second favorite song!" The crowd groaned, but then the band started into Wooly Bully. Tore the place up.

There are some other fun videos in that bunch,

The lead guitarist and the drummer are cute in the Shaddows.

That Millie chick looks like Chris Rock in drag!

Status quo - really strange hair. Sir Elton has nothing on them when it comes to clothes!
