Twice I was lucky enough to be in choirs that sang the whole Monteverdi Vespers. This is one of my favorite pieces. The beginning of the video has a bit of information about the period when Monteverdi wrote this, then blacks out so you can just close your eyes and melt into the beauty of the music.
