Ayer en Parroquia Episcopal San Cristóbal

Yesterday was the closura, or graduation for our International Cooking Class, which started in March. The students learned recipes from France, Spain, China, Japan, Italy, England, the U.S.A., and Mexico. After everyone received their certificates, we had a great lunch! The next scheduled class is the Cake Baking and Decorating class taught by Sarah Williams. It is one of the most popular classes each year, and the cakes become more elaborate each year, too!

Here are some photos:

Various dishes on display (all covered to protect from moscas)

The class also practiced table settings

Padre, what a fabulous class and a great idea:)

It was unusually cruel, though, to post such wonderful offerings on the net, though... I am sooooo hungry now:)

Love the red chef outfit of Professor Beckford.

And yes, you are tempting us with the food! Hope you got some.

I love you Padre (even if you don't share when the food is served up)

Hey Good Lookin'

Hey, hey, good lookin',
Whatcha got cookin'?
How's about cookin' somethin' up with me?
Hey, sweet baby,
Don't you think maybe
We could find us a brand new recipe?
I got a hot-rod Ford and a two-dollar bill
And I know a spot right over the hill.
There's soda pop and the dancin's free,
So if you wanna have fun come along with me.
Hey, good lookin',
Whatcha got cookin'?
How's about cookin' somethin' up with me?

I'm free and ready,
So we can go steady.
How's about savin' all your time for me?
No more lookin',
I know I've been tooken [sic].
How's about keepin' steady company?

I'm gonna throw my date-book over the fence
And find me one for five or ten cents.
I'll keep it 'til it's covered with age
'Cause I'm writin' your name down on every page.
Hey, good lookin',
Whatcha got cookin'?
How's about cookin' somethin' up with me?

I See You!
