Just Who Are You Calling Irrelevant?!?

Saturday President Jimmy Carter said "I think as far as the adverse impact on the nation around the world, this administration has been the worst in history." Now, most readers of the Dance Party most probably recognise this statement as "la verdad." Tomy Fratto, a deputy White House spokesperson, responded by calling Jimmy Carter ”increasingly irrelevant”. I'm thinking, how many people on this planet respect Jimmy Carter and how many respect George W. Bush and his administration? How many people on this planet care about what Jimmy Carter has to say as opposed to what George W. Bush has to say? Most people in Panama with whom I am in contact like Jimmy Carter but do not like Prez'nit Bush.

If we were to take a poll of people around the planet, whom do you think they would find increasingly irrelevant?

I just hooted and hollered in the car when I heard Our Best Former President Ever on the radio, speaking out loud and clear. Tell it, Jimmy. I mean, Mr. President.

It's like everything else the current administration has done: If we say it loud enough and often enough, it must be true.

Dear God: Please don't let our country screw up the next election. Amen.

apparently the Al Gore book that comes out tomorrow pulls no punches.

ABC news' Jake Tapper wrote of the book:

In the book, Gore is accusatory, passionate, and angry. He begins discussing the president by accusing him of sharing President Richard Nixon's unprincipled hunger for power -- and the book proceeds to get less complimentary from there. While Gore stops short of flatly calling for the impeachment of Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney, he certainly gives the impression that in his view such a move would be well deserved. He calls the president a lawbreaker, a liar and a man with the blood of thousands of innocent lives on his hands.

can't wait to read it!

Carter was right, but now he's backtracking, or as we say in my territory - crawfishing. Why?

Carter is a Noble and realistic man...he knows TRUTH and isn't afraid to discuss *it*...some of the eternally wealthy/greedy/deadly "blanquitos" in my area of Latin America are still upset because Carter named names when he was President...Carter had no use for oppressors, bigots and military thugs posing as honorable citizens...loss of face is excruciatingly painful in places where DENIAL of ones personal character is normal...it's called amnesia.

Leonardo Ricardo (who thinks International War Crimes Court sounds appropriate for GW and Cheney)

I See You!
