Did you notice on the debate...

How many times did McCain say Obama "doesn't understand" or "doesn't get it?" It seems like almost every time he began talking, he would start with one of the two phrases. Talk about synchronicity with my post on fear mongering.

At one point, McCain said drilling would bring temporary relief. I did a report in American Foreign Policy in summer school about realism. Short term interests are more important to realist than to liberals who are more interested in long term goals. Is McCain a realist?

Now we'll get to see if "Obama doesn't get it/understand" gets repeated by every news reporter over the next few day. Which sound bites do you think we'll hear a lot over the next few days or weeks?

Actually, it's Obama that has a new ad out that says McCain "doesn't get it".

One of the things I noticed during the debate was this strange, compelling urge to throw toys at the TV whenever McCain started rambling on and on, or tried to paint Obama as naive.

Matty boy, that's so funny. I didn't here Obama say that when I was listening to the debate on NPR, just McCain.

When he started talking about his military experience, I was highly surprised he didn't bring his 5 1/2 year deprivation of table and chair...

You could just about write out McCain's press plan after watching the debate.

Obama's... it's too damn nuanced.

I See You!
