I don't have much to say about this date. My experience, being outside of the U.S. was very different than that of those of you in New York City and Washington, D.C. I didn't even watch much of the coverage on T.V. as they kept showing the same thing over and over, which seemed to me to add to the trauma. Some members of our congregation of St. Christopher's lost family members in the tragedy, so it wasn't simply an estadoünidense tragedy; people from all over the world died in those planes and towers.
The following folks have some great meditations about that day.

Yes, Mike, it was as you say, the same thing over and over. And if they could find it from a different angle, they would show that. I will not turn on the TV today. I could not stand it again.
Thank you dear Padre - I am touched that you included my link.
Oh the damn TV, it took me a day to realize that I had to turn it off and leave it off. The images were one thing, but it was the message... A constant infusion of fear.
Since then, my TV watching has continued to diminish and there are long periods of time in which I watch none at all.
Peace to you and the Lovely Mona. Peace to all on these pages.
Thank you so much, Padre Mickey, and thanks for reminding us that this was truly an international incident.
Peace be unto you, yours, and your flock.
