What I've Learned. . .
. . . from the Bristol Palin mess is:
Black, poor, un-wed mothers are irresponsible and just trying to get more welfare money
White, rich, un-wed mothers who happen to be daughters of Republican governors believe in the sanctity of life.
However, I am still curious as to why and how Sarah Palin flew from Texas to Alaska after her water broke and she was supposedly in labour. I guess that's one of those mysteries which will be answered by and by. . .

I would like to say this to those of us who have latched on to this baby story... let it go!
That much cattiness doesn't become us.
Too many men have weighed in on this because of pictures they have seen that 'prove' that she did not have the baby. Many actresses have gone to full term while playing someone who wasn't preggers in a series. Just because a woman can cross her legs does not mean she isn't 7 months pregnant. Camera angles can hide a lot! Fat teenagers aren't all pregnant. Many men have trouble crossing their legs at any time during their lives. Does that mean they are pregnant? Give me a break.
There are valid reasons that this woman shouldn't be vice president. #1 she's a republican. #2 she isn't qualified. This rumor isn't one of them. isn't this enough?
I am one cranky old woman that tired of it.
Susan, do you need a nap today?
Siestas are allowed. Especially if you have earned one.
Thanks David. No, I don't need a nap. I meant that I was tired of the rumor mill. I really need to learn not to read all the crap that's out on the web. I guess I should have a news feed so that I can keep up with everything.
But, thanks to you, I am much calmer now! ;-)
Susan, I am one of those men. I understand your anger at this, but this is exactly what we have to do to win this election. No one from the Obama camp can say this stuff, so it falls to bloggers, many female, some guys like me.
In my posts, I haven't come to any conclusions. If Sarah's the mother, and that's the most likely situation given the facts now at hand, I think she's been a very bad mother, given that she returned to work three days after her premature baby was born. It's just plain old biology that newborn babies need mommies, and it's not a part-time gig, especially for a special needs baby.
She's going to get hit on her politics, too, but there's a lot of people who vote who don't read much but the National Enquirer, and we need to convince them that she's a bad choice as well.
If you prefer to complain about me over at my own blog, I'm at

And, I'm one cranky old Queer...I'm sick to death of a lifetime of listening to LIES and CRAPOLA about people like me delivered by heterosexual blowhards who think they don't have to STAND UP STRAIGHT AND BE FULLY EXAMINED...you know, especially the kind who are irresponsible and prefer to look away at their OWN shabby actions...I believe they think there is no sense being accountable personally in REALITY when one can simply slander LGBT people like many Republican fundamentalists thugs do and keep preach'n Jesus SAVES....nothing gets by, nobody gets a "pass"...no exceptions...got it? None of us must forget the REAL LIFE and of OUR actions and many of us are not willing to PRETEND the atrosities committed by Bush/Cheney and their gang of liars didn't happen (or any other deceptive/creepy mess they've gotten themselves in...Larry Craig comes to mind).
Well, Leonardo, are you cranky at me? or are we just cranky together? I would rather it be together...
Dear Susan, my "cranky" has been in place for quite some time now, it's not a passing thing...I prefer to think of it as "no nonsense"...but as I said, I may be a "tad" resentful from listening to all the everyday slur/slamming of LGBT Christians/others for MOST OFTEN no reason...I'm not inclined to pretend the self-righteous slanderers are allowed special "boys will be boys/girls will be girls" dispensantion as they spread their irresponsible behavior throughout the world.
Forget it, everyone must be accountable not just the accussed, excluded, marginalized and damned.
I'm with Susan
