This certainly isn't a Carnaval list (and that's not a very Carnaval-style photo, either)! I may have to set up a Genius list based on El Pindín Caliente or sumpin' 'cuz there's nuttin' heah what makes me wanna jump up 'n down and git sprayed con agua, like we do heah. Yeah, all in all, this is a kinda slow moving list, although the first number is kinda poppy, in a twelveth-century-monastic kinda way.

Waddya listenin' to, what with Carnaval starting an' all? Post it in the comments, please.

What, no Dead Milkmen? (I was a band member 78-80. I joined the AF, they went to Temple, the rest is history...)

I thought that if I picked something Cajun that iTunes Genius would follow my lead into Carnaval gaiety. As you can see that did not happen!

Geez David, maybe it's because the Carpenters aren't Cajun even if you poured File Gumbo on them!

Now the Dead Milkmen, they could be Cajun, or at least Cagein'.

Ann, I noticed some movie soundtrack stuff on your list. Have you ever checked out the Norman Bates Memorial Soundtrack Show on KFJC-FM on Saturdays, 9:00 am California time? If you have iTunes on your computer it is in the Public Radio stream.

I had a friend in Seattle in the late 80s who had all of the Dead Mikmen albums. They were one of his favorite groups, along with the Nylons!

Hola David,
Señor Genius doesn't recognise any Típico Panameño, so I don'' think it knows ANYTHING about Carnaval or Latinos not named "Juanes", "Shakira", or "Mána."
