Cartoonists always amaze me by how they can create a character which looks absolutely nothing like its target yet is immediately associated properly.
Nooooo! 343 days, 10 hours, 45 minutes left for Bush to wreak destruction.
Ouch! Thanks for this. And Mimi is right--there certainly could be more.
Tom Toles is a shabby, sophomoric substitute for Herbert Block or "Herblock" (his nom de plume). He's taken political cartooning to the level of a jr. high school boy's room wall.
Could not disagree with Andy more. Toles is one of the best of the last twenty years, and if Herblock had a golden age, it was before I was reading political cartoons, and I'm old enough to remember Walt Kelly.
Herblock is a dead as a door knob, so, while he may have been great at one time, what has he done lately?
I find that I usually agree with Toles' opinion, which makes me biased.
Now Walt Kelly, THERE was a cartoonist!
'The enemy is us.'
