Campamento Verano 2008 Tercer Parte

The theme for the second day was "Familia." I discussed how there really aren't very many good models of family in the Bible. For the Estudios Biblicos, we looked at the story of Joseph and his brothers, and then the parable of the Prodigal Son. I went around and listened to the Bible study discussions and took photos. In the afternoon we had "Family Court." Each group was given a situation, and they went before the judges and explained their charges and then did a little skit which illustrated the family's problem. The kids are really good at improvisational acting and it was a lot of fun. We also had a big discussion about abuse in the family and what one must do in such situations. Domestic abuse is something the government of Panama is taking quite seriously.
