A wonderful reporter and columnist, Molly Ivins, has passed away due to breast cancer. I loved her columns and her appearances on the MacNeil-Lehrer New Hour. She also wrote a couple of great books about the Preznit. I am very fond of the book "Bushwhacked" which she wrote with Lou Dubose.
Rest eternal grant unto her, O Lord, and may light perpetual shine upon her.
May her soul, and the souls of all the departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen

We're on the same wavelength... having just posted the entire obit for Molly, I see you, too, are mourning her death.
I learned about her death probably not too long after it was first posted online. She will be missed.
Padre Mickey, you, too? You and Caminante and I are all sad about Molly. I will miss her.
Hi Tara, mother of Evie.
The first time I heard of her was on the McNeil-Lehrer Report back in the '80s. She did a video essay on public art (Pronounced 'ort') in Texas. She was very funny, a writer with a unique voice.
Thanks for putting in the fix, Padre. May God bless her and kepp her and so say we all.
