ECW Retreat

Today I led the Lenten Retreat of the ECW of St. Christopher's. It was held at parishioner Norma Blackman's home in Coronado, a beach community about an hour and a half outside of Panama City. Our reflections were on the life of St. Patrick, and then we spent the last hour in an energetic hymn sing. And we had Sancocho for lunch (Panamanian chicken soup with jama and yuca). Then we piled back into the bus and got home around 6:00 pm. A lovely time was had by all. And I have fótos, of course!

1. El Autobus
2. Waiting for the others
3. Norma's place
4. Settling-in for our reflections
5. The Gazebo, where we spent our time
6. The Yard
7. The Ladies
8. Our Hostess, Norma (center) with her cousin Yolanda (left), Barbara Smith (right), and Clara Edwards climbing on to the bus (extreme left).

We had a driver, but he was in the bus already!
Yeah, that's quite a place. Mona and I have stayed there for periods of two weeks at a time. I love to bring a pile of books and just sit in the pool and read!

I See You!
